USDA is now accepting applications for funding under the 2026 America First Trade Promotion Program (AFTPP).

The program, authorized by Congress in the budget reconciliation bill passed earlier this year, provides an additional $285 million in funding for agricultural trade promotion and facilitation. The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) said the program will help expand and diversify overseas destinations for U.S. beef, pork and lamb.

“USMEF applauds the rollout of AFTPP, which will help the U.S. red meat industry capitalize on emerging opportunities,” said USMEF President and CEO Dan Halstrom in a statement.

Applications may be submitted through Jan. 23, 2026, at tinyurl.com/yc24srsw.
