Foster Farms recalls corn dogs for wood fragments

Foster Poultry Farms LLC is recalling about 3.8 million pounds of chicken corn dog and ground turkey on stick products that may contain pieces of wood embedded in the batter, the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.

The recalled items, produced July 30-Aug. 4, bear establishment number “P-6137B” and were shipped nationwide to retail and institutional locations. FSIS urges consumers and institutions not to eat the products and to discard or return them to the place of purchase.
