A new custom butcher shop with a retail section is coming to Dell Rapids, SD, Sioux Falls Business reported.
Schmitz Custom Meats LLC broke ground Aug. 15 on a 6,000-square-foot facility featuring modern processing equipment and space for local customers to buy meat. The project is expected to create up to six jobs.
Owner-operator Steven Schmitz said the business will “lean on the agricultural roots of our state by working with local farmers and producers.” The shop plans to open in spring 2026.
