The California Department of Food and Agriculture’s (CDFA) Animal Health Branch has announced 14 vacancies on the Cattle Health Task Force Advisory Board.
The board advises the CDFA secretary on cattle health regulations, disease control programs, license fees, penalties and implementation of Food and Agricultural Code provisions related to cattle health.
Open positions include at least three industry representatives, three academic or extension specialists in cattle health and diseases, and three licensed veterinarians practicing beef or dairy medicine. The remaining five seats may be filled from any of those categories. Appointments are for 24-month terms and are unpaid, though travel and per diem expenses are reimbursed.
