Cargill is investing nearly $90 million in automation and new technologies at its Fort Morgan, CO, beef plant as part of its Factory of the Future initiative.
One key innovation is CarVe, a patent-pending computer vision technology that measures red meat yield in real-time, helping managers improve their cutting techniques. These upgrades aim to boost operational efficiencies, increase yields and enhance employee safety.
Additionally, Cargill is addressing the region’s housing shortage by supporting a $40 million project that includes 27 townhomes and an 81-unit apartment complex, set to open in the fall.
