A new processing plant in Comanche, OK, broke ground on March 4 on the west side of town on Highway 53. The Red Plains Grand Butchery plant will begin construction in spring 2022 and be operational in the fall, processing cattle and hogs for local producers.
“My vision for Red Plains Grand Butchery is to be the leading meat processing enterprise in the Red Plains region of Oklahoma,” owner Trey Clinkenbeard told the Duncan Banner.
“Our mission is to create a resource which enriches our community, serves agriculture and improves people’s lives. We will do this by focusing on being a valued and trusted corporate partner who aims to exceed the expectations of those we serve. In addition, Red Plains Grand Butchery will offer further processed, smoked and cured meats for private labels.
“Upon completion, the plant will employ eight to 12 people in what is described as “the newest data collection, tracking and processing technology to assure the highest level of customer service and trust.”
