According to Information Resources Inc. (IRI), a data analytics and market research company, sales of grass-fed beef have grown 5 percent, reaching $776 million for the period of July 2020 to July 2021.
IRI said the growth could partially be attributed to the pandemic, when consumers were preparing more meals at home, and to concerns about the environment.
A recent market study by Future Market Insights, a provider of market intelligence and consulting services, stated the overall market value of grass-fed beef is forecast to grow 4.4 percent between 2021 and 2031 to $17.9 billion.
