Beef Bits Brief: First single-packaged beef patties

Jensen Meat Co. has unveiled the first single-serving beef patties to hit the market.

Jensen Solos are designed for those who need a “convenient meal for one, want to avoid shelf-life worries or have families with different tastes.”

Three different products will be available in single-serving packages: beef and bacon, a 50/50 combination of ground bacon and beef; jalapeno and pepper jack cheese, a beef patty stuffed with chunks of cheese and diced peppers; and UNCUT, a plant-based option.

The products are set to be launched in almost 2,000 Walmart stores across the nation.

Jensen Meat also has plans to expand the product lines to different beef and plant-based varieties.
