Exports of Brazilian beef have experienced record sales in October, which can largely be attributed to growth in China.
The Brazilian Beef Exporters Association (ABIEC) has reported a 15 percent rise in volume of beef exported in October at 185,537 tons.
The month ended with revenues of $808.4 million, which was 30 percent above the same month in 2018.
This is the largest monthly volume ever shipped by the country and the highest revenue in a single month.
One of the main drivers of growth is the increase in exports to China, with multiple new Brazilian beef plants approved by Chinese officials in the past month.
AEBIC President Antonio Jorge Camardelli said, “The results show the consolidation of Brazilian beef in the main international markets.
