Beef Bits Brief: Beyond Meat signs with McDonald’s

Plant-based company Beyond Meat has signed multi-year supply deals with McDonald’s to supply the company with plant-based products. The three-year deal will make Beyond Meat the world’s biggest restaurant supplier for the McPlant burger patty.

The company also plans to work with McDonald’s to create plant-based chicken, pork and eggs. In 2020, Beyond Meat reported an increase in net sales of 3.5 percent to $101.9 million.

The company also plans to work with KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell to create plant-based products for their menus, and already supplies Starbucks, Denny’s and Dunkin’ Brands with their products.
