National Western Stock Show (NWSS) has promoted Leon Vick to vice president of rodeo, horse and livestock operations.
Vick has managed the rodeo and show departments for the past few years.
The office of livestock operations was vacated at the end of January by former Senior Director Marshall Ernst.
Vick grew up in a cattle ranch in eastern Colorado, rodeoing at a young age and for the University of Wyoming, where he earned a degree in agriculture business.
He went on to compete in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association for almost 20 years, qualifying for the National Finals Rodeo twice. “Leon is a true Colorado cowboy,” said Paul Andrews, president and CEO of the NWSS.
“His passion and dedication to our Western values is unmatched.
I know he will be a valuable leader for the rodeo, horse and livestock departments of the National Western Stock Show.”
