John C. Harris, Harris Farms president, will be honored at the Ag One Community Salute on Feb. 25 at the Fresno Convention Center Exhibit Hall.
“Our university is truly honored to recognize Mr. Harris, and the Harris name is synonymous with the first-rate vision, innovation and excellence that distinguishes Central Valley agriculture,” said Fresno State University President Saъl Jimйnez-Sandoval.
“Our community supporters join us in thanking him for his tireless dedication to our region.” Harris Ranch began in 1937 and was one of the first in the industry to have a beef program, which helped grow the Harris Ranch Inn and Restaurant to one of the most successful dining establishments in the state, Fresno State said.
Harris has also found success in the horse racing, breeding and foaling industry.
