The Beef Improvement Federation (BIF) virtually hosted its annual research symposium June 8-12. During the symposium, individuals and ranches were awarded for their hard work and efforts. The following were award recipients during the 52nd annual BIF Research Symposium:
• Seedstock Producer of the Year—Yon Family Farms, Ridge Spring, SC;
• Commercial Producer of the Year—Vest Ranches, Childress, TX;
• Pioneer Award— Paul Bennett, Red House, VA;
• Pioneer Award—Charles McPeake, Arnoldsville, GA;
• Pioneer Award (posthumous)—Craig Ludwig, Overland Park, KS;
• Continuing Service Award—Donnell Brown, Throckmorton, TX;
• Continuing Service Award—David Kirkpatrick, Knoxville, TN;
• BIF Ambassador Award—Becky Mills, Cuthbert, GA;
• Roy Wallace Scholarship—Elle Moon, Creighton, SD, and Lindsay Upperman, Chambersburg, PA; and
• Baker/Cundiff Awards—Johnna Baller, Walden, CO, Kaitlyn Sarlo Davilla, Ft. Myers, FL, and Katherine Upshaw, Key West, FL.
