Runner Katrina Collins, a rancher and runner from Faith, SD, was recently named the winner of the Team BEEF South Dakota “Prime Cuts” program.
The program involves members who actively engaged in promoting the healthful aspects of beef in the diet.
Participants must participate in educational webinars and are encouraged to participate in at least two races wearing a Team BEEF jersey.
“The Prime Cuts Program is a great tool to help Team BEEF members and others educate and share information with consumers,” said Collins in the South Dakota Beef Council’s announcement of her win.
Second place went to Charlie Totton from Chamberlain, SD, followed by the third-place winner, Kayla Wulf of Owanka, SD.
Approximately 200 members participated in September’s competition this year.
