Assistance is available for Montana producers who were affected by flooding in June. USDA offers several risk management and disaster aid options to help producers recover after disasters.

Disaster programs for livestock producers include the Livestock Indemnity Program and the Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybee and Farm-raised Fish Program, which reimburse producers for a portion of the value of animals killed or injured by a natural disaster or loss of feed and grazing acres.

The Farm Service Agency also offers a variety of farm loans for producers unable to secure commercial financing. USDA recommends producers keep accurate records to document loss or damage and to report losses as soon as possible.
