On Sept. 13, American Foods Group’s (AFG) America’s Heartland Packing welcomed the community to its new Wright City, MO, beef processing plant, which began production April 10.

Built with an $800 million investment, the state-of-the-art facility emphasizes employee well-being, community engagement, producer partnerships and environmental stewardship. Designed for transparency and efficiency, it features a 2,400-head-per-day capacity, on-site cattle buyers with instant payments and climate-controlled barns.

“America’s Heartland Packing is more than a facility—it’s a promise to our partners that we’re here for the long haul,” said President and Chief Operating Officer David Jagodzinske, highlighting its long-term commitment to ranchers of all sizes.
