The Bureau of Reclamation’s July forecast shows water supply in the Yakima Basin will fall short of meeting full irrigation demand.

Senior water rights holders will receive 100% of their allotments, while junior users will receive just 45%. Reservoirs were 60% full on July 1, with June precipitation at 26% of average and snowpack at 0%. The agency will continue monthly updates based on changing conditions to manage water rights.
