WDFW weighs more Sherman Pack removals

Gray wolf.

U.S. National Park Service

Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) staff are considering the incremental lethal removal of a wolf or wolves from the Sherman Pack after a Sept. 28 depredation in Ferry County injured a calf.

The incident follows the Aug. 26 removal of an adult female wolf to curb repeated cattle attacks. Over the past 10 months, the pack has killed or injured six calves from one producer. With range riders already active, WDFW says no further non-lethal deterrents are feasible and will soon recommend next steps to the agency’s director.

What a disaster meaning the wolves!!! It’s sad to say that Fish and game from many states now are on a mission to destroy ranching as we know it. They have the support of many save the wolves societies. California the latest states that is now infested with wolves. The wolves have migrated from Oregon clear into central California. We up here in the Sierra Nevada Counties are still counting our losses. So fare this year we have lost close to 100 head of cattle. What is it going to take, to get fish and game stop this program of destruction to the ranching industry. We need to speak loud and clear to the government. We need to VOTE, Petition, Pressure our representatives to be more aggressive. Stop protecting the wolves.
