Walmart has agreed to settle for $45 million in a class action lawsuit alleging the retailer used deceptive business practices when selling sold-by-weight items.
The lawsuit said the company inflated product weights, mislabeling bagged produce and overcharging on clearance products. Shoppers allegedly paid more for certain sold-by-weight products than the price advertised.
Consumers who purchased certain weighted meat and produce items are eligible for cash payments. To submit a claim, visit tinyurl.com/2hyjksd2.
