Vote for poetry, anthem performers

Voting is open for contestants vying to perform at the 2019 Cattle Industry Convention and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) Trade show in New Orleans, LA, Jan. 30-Feb. 1, 2019.

Finalists for the NCBA National Anthem Contest and Cowboy Poetry Contest have been selected and the public is invited to weigh in and vote for their favorites.

Finalists for the fifth annual National Anthem Contest are: Josie Foglesong, Astoria, IL; Prairie Rose Robbins, Brookville, KS; Kari Wheeler, Biggs, CA; and Jenna Spangler, Marietta, IL. Finalists for the Cowboy Poetry Contest are: Mike Williams, Acton, CA; Jeff “Tigger” Erhardt, Mayetta, KS; Ronald McKay, Elk Point, SD; Clyde Chess, Rush, CO; Tyrel Templar, Canyon, TX; and Annie Mackenzie, Jordan Valley, OR.

Public voting is open through Dec. 4 with winners to be announced Dec. 5. To view finalists and vote, go to www.convention.beefusa.org.
