Starting in early fiscal year 2026, animal health restrictions affecting U.S. exports of meat, poultry and egg products will be relocated from the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) Export Library to the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) website.

This transition consolidates requirements in one location, making information easier to access and update, according to the government. While FSIS will continue posting certification requirements, APHIS will maintain animal health restrictions through a searchable, downloadable spreadsheet. The change improves efficiency, accuracy and usability for industry and FSIS employees, USDA said. During the transition, information may appear on both sites, with FSIS providing guidance and references.
