USDA Deputy Secretary Stephen Vaden unveiled Lender Lens, a new dashboard on the Rural Data Gateway that opens Rural Development’s entire commercial guaranteed loan portfolio to the public, borrowers and lenders.
The tool provides interactive data visualizations of total loan volume, average loan size, sector distribution, geographic reach and delinquency rates, with monthly updates and downloadable data down to the individual loan level.
“The American public values the importance of government data transparency,” Vaden said, noting the dashboard highlights where USDA is expanding access to capital and how funds are used across rural America.
Developed in 2023, the Rural Data Gateway helps communities analyze trends by state, county and congressional districts while guiding entrepreneurs, utilities and local governments toward federal resources.
