USDA issues alert for Trader Joe’s pizza

USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a public health alert for imported frozen “Trader Joe’s uncured pepperoni pizza product of Italy” that did not undergo required import reinspection.

A recall was not requested since the product is no longer sold; however, it may still be in consumer freezers. The 17.63-ounce pizzas, with lot numbers 06/16/25 and 06/21/25 and best-by dates of 8/16/26 and 8/21/26, were shipped to California. No illnesses have been reported, but FSIS advises consumers not to eat the product and to discard or return it.
