The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, a Beef Checkoff contractor, released an updated Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) National Manual.
“This manual helps drive improvement across the supply chain through adherence to best management practices,” said Clay Mathis, Ph.D., Texas A&M University and BQA Advisory Group chair.
Over 30 cattle producers, industry leaders and stakeholders collaborated for a year to incorporate the latest science-based research, including findings from the recent National Beef Quality Audit. The manual is available free at www.bqa.org/resources/manuals.
An updated “Field Guide” version for producers and ranch workers will be available in the summer of 2025.
