Texas Gov. Greg Abbott reappointed Leo Vermedahl, Ph.D., to the Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC). Abbott also appointed Barret Klein and reappointed Michael Vickers, DVM. In addition, Wendee Langdon, Ph.D., Joseph Osterkamp, and Keith Staggs received appointments to the TAHC. The commission works to protect and enhance the health of animal populations across the state of Texas. Vermedahl, of Dalhart, is owner of Vermedahl Cattle Co. He is a member and former president of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association and member and former executive committee member of National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. — WLJ
