Superior Livestock Auction hosted their video auction live Sept. 19 from the Superior Livestock Auction Studio in Hudson Oaks, TX. Cattle producers sold 22,943 head of calves, yearlings and bred stock, totaling 205 lots from 26 states for this offering. Strong buyer participation from several bidders throughout the auction resulted in 74 different successful buyers. Cattle were sold on contract to deliver immediately through June 2025.
Regions 3/4/5/6 feeder steers were well received at $4-8 higher. Feeder heifers from the same regions also saw strong demand at $4-6 higher. Regions 1 & 2 feeder steers, heifers and calves were only lightly tested but saw a strong undertone. Beef-on-dairy lots were steady on all weights. Regions 3/4/5/6 weaned calves and calves on cows saw strong demand from a wide buyer base. Calves in lighter flesh conditions were $8-15 higher with December deliveries receiving the most interest.
