Superior Livestock Auction hosted their video auction live on June 27 from the Superior Livestock Auction Studio in Hudson Oaks, TX. Cattle producers sold 18,649 head of calves, yearlings and bred stock, totaling 162 lots from 13 states for this offering.
Strong buyer participation from several bidders throughout the auction resulted in 60 different successful buyers. Cattle were sold on contract to deliver immediately through February 2025.
Feeder steers from Regions 3/4/5/6 opened the auction and were met with an aggressive buyer base. There was a steady trend across most weight classes, however, lighter weights under 700 pounds were $8-10 higher. Feeder heifers from the same regions were softer at $4-6 lower than the last test. Feeders and calves from Regions 1/2 were only lightly tested. Beef-dairy crosses were well and fully steady with the last auction. Regions 3/4/5/6 calves on cows and weaned calves were upwardly trending at $7-12 higher.
