Superior Livestock Auction hosted their video auction live on Feb. 22 from the Superior Livestock Auction Studio in Hudson Oaks, TX. Cattle producers offered over 51,500 head of calves, yearlings and bred stock from 29 states for this auction. Cattle were sold on contract to deliver immediately through August 2024.
Regions 3/4/5/6 feeder steers witnessed a fully steady market on all weights and classes, deferred deliveries saw a strong buyer demand over immediate deliveries. Feeder heifers from the same regions were also moving at fully steady prices. Regions 1/2 feeder steers and heifers were in light supply but were steady with the last offering.
Regions 1/2 weaned calves were in strong demand as moisture conditions remain favorable for summer grazing, steer and heifer calves in grazing conditions were $15-20 higher. Beef-dairy crosses were fully steady. Regions 3/4/5/6 weaned calves and calves on cows were $15-30 higher on all weights.
