Superior Livestock Auction hosted their Tallgrass Video Auction live from the Lyon County Fairgrounds Anderson Building in Emporia, KS. Cattle producers offered over 21,000 head of calves and yearlings from 14 states for this auction. Cattle were sold on contract to deliver immediately through December 2023.
The sale featured feeders coming off tallgrass in the Osage and Flint Hills, which were met at steady prices compared to the last offering. However, prices were $50-70 higher than the same offering last year. Deferred deliveries in July & August saw some strong advances $3-4 higher.
