Superior Livestock Auction

Cattle producers sold 40,983 head of calves, yearlings and bred stock, totaling 308 lots from 25 states for this offering. Strong buyer participation from hundreds of bidders throughout the auction resulted in 93 different successful buyers. Cattle were sold on contract to deliver immediately through December 2024.

Regions 3/4/5/6 feeder steers with immediate delivery sold steady; 600-700 pounds were $5-10 higher than last test. Feeder heifers from the same regions were lightly tested for immediate delivery and were met with a lower undertone. Regions 1/2 feeder steers were in very strong demand at $6-8 higher. Program feeder steers and heifers were highly sought after from a wide base of buyers topping premiums at $15-20 higher.

Beef-dairy cross steers and heifers were well received on a large offering at $15-18 higher than the previous auction. Regions 1/2 weaned calves found strong demand at $15-25 higher than the last auction. Regions 3/4/5/6 also saw advances equal to our past markets in all classes and weights in grazing condition.
