Superior Livestock Auction hosted their June 29 video auction live from the Superior Livestock Auction Studio in Hudson Oaks, TX. Cattle producers offered over 20,336 head of calves, yearlings and bred stock from 17 states for this auction. Cattle were sold on contract to deliver immediately through November. A bearish USDA corn report helped to make for a bullish Superior Livestock market report.
Regions 3/4/5/6 feeder steers were well-received with a strong buyer base; all weight classes were $4-7 higher. Feeder heifers from the same regions were also on track with advances of $6-8 higher than last test. Feeder steers and heifers from regions 1&2 were in short supply. Beef-dairy crosses were fully steady with the last test.
There was a strong showing of calves-on-cows and weaned calves from Florida which were well-received at $10-12 higher on all classes with deliveries ranging between July and November. The remaining regions 3/4/5/6 calves and calves-on-cows were also strong with advances of $4-8.
