The Four Sixes Ranch near Guthrie in western Texas officially closed on Jan. 21, according to Sam Middleton, owner and broker for Chas. S. Middleton and Son LLC, Farm-Ranch Sales.
Although details of the sale were not available, the Fort Worth Report confirmed that a group led by Taylor Sheridan, the co-creator of Paramount’s “Yellowstone” series, purchased the ranch. The sale price was not disclosed, but Middleton had the property listed for just under $200 million.
The 142,000-acre ranch was recently featured this past season on “Yellowstone.” Capt. Samuel Burk Burnett founded the ranch in 1870, and his great-granddaughter, Anne W. Marion, eventually took control of the ranch until her death in 2020.
