Story Short: McDonald’s invests in climate-smart ag

McDonald’s has partnered with AgMission in a global collaboration to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in agriculture, with a $5 million commitment over the next five years.

The Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research, U.S. Farmers and Ranchers in Action, and the World Farmers’ Organisation established AgMission to explore agriculture’s potential to reduce GHG emissions. To achieve this goal, AgMission, through a collaboration of farmers, ranchers and scientists, works to devise climate-smart solutions that are both economically and environmentally sustainable while increasing resiliency and mitigating GHGs.

McDonald’s joins PepsiCo as founding partners of AgMission to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
