The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has further extended the hours-of-service exemption for livestock and feed haulers.
The most recent extension was set to expire Aug. 14, but has been extended an additional 30 days through Sept. 14.
“While this is a win for the cattle industry, more still needs to be done,” said National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) Executive Director of Government Affairs Allison Rivera. “NCBA will continue to work with Congress and the Trump administration to find a permanent fix for hours-of-service regulations.”
