Archer-Daniels-Midland Company (ADM) released its view on the five food and beverage trends that will impact the way consumers eat and drink in 2021.
The five trends include food and beverages with functional health benefits aimed at supporting immune systems, enhancing mood and sustaining energy; companies to demonstrate their sustainability commitment beyond the end product to include sourcing and operating standards; products addressing the microbiome such as weight management and wellbeing; demand for plant-based protein; and food labels that provide greater transparency with locally sourced ingredients as consumers seek greater clarity on where the ingredients in food and beverages come from.
