Story Short: Funding for CO drought resiliency

Funding is available for Colorado agricultural producers interested in financial assistance to adopt conservation management practices on working landscapes through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) Conservation Incentive Contracts (CIC).

According to a press release, “Producers may use incentive contracts as a ‘stepping stone’ from correcting resource issues on specific land units to achieving sustainable stewardship across their entire operation.” The EQIP CIC signup will focus on grazing land resiliency and resistance to drought.

Producers should apply by Feb. 18 by contacting their local USDA Service Center.
