USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is recalling approximately 525,717 pounds of canned beef with gravy products that may be contaminated with unsafe levels of lead.
The canned beef with gravy products were manufactured by Crider Foods in Stillmore, GA, and produced between Oct. 22, 2020, and March 15, 2021, with the establishment number “EST. 31812” on the can.
The products were sold nationwide under several labels, and FSIS is concerned they may be in people’s pantries. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
