A new scientific paper from the University of California, Davis has shown that Rumin8’s investigational veterinary product reduced total methane emissions in cattle by 95.2%, without affecting animal health or production.
The trial, led by the university’s Department of Animal Science, involved 24 cattle divided into three groups and fed a total mixed ration. When Rumin8’s oil-based additive was included, methane yield dropped by 93% and methane intensity by 93.4%.
According to Rumin8, these findings support the potential of its feed and water-delivered additives to significantly reduce livestock methane emissions. Additional global trials are underway as Rumin8 seeks regulatory approval.
