Oklahoma State University (OSU) secured a $250 million state appropriation to build a new 255,000-square-foot veterinary teaching hospital, replacing its outdated facility.
The facility was originally designed for 60 students, but now serves over 150. OSU President Jim Hess prioritized the investment, citing its importance to public health and Oklahoma’s economy. The funding follows the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine’s return to full accreditation, with facility upgrades identified as essential for compliance.
The new hospital will support OSU’s land-grant mission and serve the state’s veterinary and agricultural needs for decades to come.
