The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) released a report confirming that a calf injured on Aug. 2 was the result of an attack by wolves of the Chesnimnus Pack. The report said a livestock producer found an injured 4-month-old, 340-lb. calf on Aug.1 on a large timbered U.S. Forest Service allotment. The injuries had begun to heal and were estimated to be about one week old. The calf was found in Wallowa County’s Cougar Creek Area about three miles from where three calves were injured by the same wolves in June.
