A planned sale of the historic Oklahoma National Stockyards has collapsed, the management announced in a Facebook post.
Management confirmed the proposed deal “has not come to fruition,” citing an unspecified obstacle. The potential acquisition was intended to preserve the stockyard’s legacy and ensure its continued role as a vital marketing outlet for ranchers. The current leadership described the outcome as “disappointing,” but emphasized the renewed focus on finding a buyer who values the heritage of the stockyards.
“The Oklahoma National Stockyards has served as a vital marketing outlet for cattle producers across Oklahoma and neighboring states for over a century,” the post read. “We fully intend to continue that tradition for generations to come.”
