The National Western Stock Show (NWSS) named Wes Allison its next president and CEO.

As NWSS prepares for its next chapter, including the opening of The Legacy Building and the Sue Anschutz-Rodgers Livestock Center in 2026, the organization said Allison’s decades of leadership and agricultural experience will be instrumental.

“Wes is a proven, innovative leader in the livestock industry and his deep roots in agriculture—coupled with his commitment to youth scholarships and vast experience in event development—make him the perfect fit to lead National Western into the future,” said Douglas Jones, NWSS board chairman.

Allison previously led the Heart O’ Texas Fair and Rodeo for 23 years, expanding its reach and agricultural education programs.
