The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has concluded the Antelope Complex-North wild horse gather near Wells, NV, on Aug. 20.
A total of 1,971 wild horses were gathered to reduce the degradation of the landscape and overpopulation. BLM said 1,936 horses were removed from public land, six wild horses were released, four wild horses succumbed to gather-related injuries and 25 wild horses were euthanized due to pre-existing or chronic issues.
