USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in California is accepting  Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) applications through May 30 for multiple initiatives.

These include Working Lands for Wildlife-Sage Grouse Initiative, Tricolored Blackbird, Joint Chiefs Landscape Restoration Project, National Water Quality Initiative, WaterSmart Initiative and Livestock-Predator Interaction Management. Each program targets specific conservation goals, including habitat restoration, wildfire risk reduction, water quality improvement and livestock-predator conflict management.

Eligibility varies by location and focus area. Interested producers should contact their local NRCS Service Center for guidance and application details.
