Norway joined the growing ranks of countries that have initiated a dispute complaint with the World Trade Organization (WTO) over U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminum on June 19. As with the others—China, Mexico, Canada, the European Union and India—Norway claims the U.S. metal tariffs are “inconsistent with provisions of the WTO’s General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994 and the Agreement on Safeguards.” — WLJ
