At its June meeting, the Nebraska Brand Committee voted to increase brand inspection and renewal fees.

The brand inspection fee will increase from $1 per head to $1.10 per head beginning Sept. 1. The brand renewal fee will increase from $50 to $100 for four years, effective Oct. 1. The out-of-area inspection hourly rate will also increase from $20 per hour to $30 per hour, and expired brand fees will cost $100. Their effective dates have yet to be announced.
