The North American Meat Institute (NAMI) has announced the search for a new president and CEO to replace retiring President and CEO Barry Carpenter has begun. The association has retained the firm Raffa Inc. to coordinate the search, and a CEO selection committee composed of 10 members of the board of directors has been appointed to oversee the process and conduct interviews. Expressions of interest in the position are due to Raffa by Jan. 31. The group aims to announce the new CEO by late spring with an anticipated start date of July 1. Carpenter became CEO of the newly formed NAMI in January 2015 when the North American Meat Association merged with the American Meat Institute. He will remain on the staff through 2018 to ensure a smooth transition
