Merck recalls batches of Banamine

In September, Merck Animal Health announced it is voluntarily recalling three batches of Banamine and Banamine-S in the U.S. due to particulate matter.

The following batches are being recalled: Banamine 100mL, UIN 065474, NDC 00061-0851-03, Batch 2834102, expiration October 2024, distributed March 6-May 3; Banamine 250mL, UIN 065476, NDC 00061-0851-04, Batch 2864102, expiration November 2024, distributed June 21-July 11; Banamine-S 100mL, UIN 065477, NDC 0061-1838-30, Batch 2834103, expiration October 2024, distributed March 20-May 16.

Injecting animals with the particulate matter may result in local irritation, swelling or infection and may travel to the lungs, which could result in local tissue damage.

Customers who have received Banamine and Banamine-S from the recalled batches should stop using the products and refer to their recall letter for product return instructions.

Consumers with questions regarding this recall should call 1-800-521-5767.
