The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has extended hours of service exemptions once again for livestock haulers.
On Aug. 31, FMCSA extended a March 2020 expanded emergency declaration for the 10th time. The emergency declaration was previously set to expire on Aug. 31 but has been extended to Oct. 15.
The exemption covers livestock and livestock feed haulers, who must report their reliance on the exemption after the end of each month.
