The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) is seeking comments on a revised Red Wolf Recovery Program, which was last modified in 1990.
The revised plan includes information gathered since the previous update and actions to improve resiliency, habitat, genetic diversity and multiple populations within the red wolf’s historic range. The plan also prioritizes collaborative conservation to engage stakeholders in management to mitigate threats to the species.
The plan is available at www.fws.gov/project/red-wolf-recovery-program, and comments can be sent via email to redwolf_comments@fws.gov with “Comment on Draft Recovery Plan” in the subject line.
